Microneedling Treatments- SKINPEN®

What is microneedling?

SkinPen® by Bellus Medical is clinically proven to improve the appearance of facial acne scars and fine lines for people aged 22 and above in all skin types. Can any other microneedling device make a similar claim?

In a word, no.

Here’s another claim no other device can make: That it’s FDA-cleared. Because there’s only one FDA-cleared microneedling device. And it’s called SkinPen.

SkinPen triggers the skin’s remodeling process by creating thousands of tiny micro-injuries in the dermis, generating new collagen without causing the formation of scar tissue. Learn more about how microneedling triggers the three-stage wound-repair process.

What can expect from the treatment?

Procedures typically take only 30 minutes, depending on the size treated and the desired results. Due to their non-invasive nature, microneedling sessions usually require little to no downtime for patients. Find out why patients love the benefits provided by SkinPen.

Add Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)

Benefits of PRP

By combining PRP therapy with microneedling, you’ll enjoy more visible results in less time.

PRP uses the power of your blood’s platelets to rejuvenate skin and reinvigorate cellular turnover.  Platelets have the unique ability to rev up collagen and elastin production, which helps repair the following skin issues:

  • Uneven skin tone
  • Wrinkles and fine lines
  • Dull, lifeless complexion
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Acne scars

What is the procedure?

A syringe of blood will be drawn, usually from your arm, while your face is numbing. The blood is then put into a centrifuge, which separates the PRP from other components of the blood.

The PRP solution is then massaged into the treatment area, usually after microneedling. The microneedling treatment creates small controlled micropunctures in the skin, allowing for penetration of the PRP.
